๐Ÿ” THE USEFUL FIND ยท MONDAY APP DISCOVERY ยท ISSUE #001

๐Ÿ‘‹ HEY, IT'S RAJA

Welcome to the first Monday find. Every week in this slot, I'll bring you one app that most people haven't heard of yet โ€” tested, explained, and worth your attention. Today's pick launched last month, is still flying under the radar, and solves a problem I suspect a lot of you have: a powerful Mac sitting at a desk, and a much more portable device in your bag.

Keep up with tech in 5 minutes

TLDR is the free daily email with summaries of the most interesting stories in startups, tech, and programming. The stuff worth knowing, minus the doomscrolling.

Issues are curated by ex-Google and Anthropic engineers and land in your inbox before your morning coffee. A 5-minute read, and you walk into the day already knowing what your team is still catching up on.

Tech is just the start. We also cover AI, marketing, dev, and more. Pick the briefs that match your work.

๐Ÿ” This week's find: Mirage

Your Mac, streamed to your iPad, iPhone, or Vision Pro โ€” at Retina quality, with almost no lag.

What it does

Mirage streams your Mac's screen to your iPhone, iPad, Vision Pro, or even another Mac, with very low latency and Retina-quality output. On iPad, it fully supports your Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil โ€” so it genuinely feels like using your Mac, not remote-controlling it through a fuzzy window.

Why it's useful

  • Window-level streaming. You don't have to mirror the whole desktop โ€” Mirage can stream a single app window. Keep iPadOS for everything else and pull in just the one Mac app you need.

  • Remote access via Tailscale. Put Tailscale (or a similar VPN) on both devices, and you can reach your home Mac from anywhere โ€” coffee shop, airport, in-laws' place.

  • A generous free tier. Local network streaming is free; Mirage Pro adds remote access, multi-window support, better audio, and the highest streaming quality.

Who it's for

Anyone running a desktop-first setup โ€” a Mac mini or Mac Studio at home with an iPad as the portable machine. With Apple's recent Mac price increases, this setup just got even more sensible: one powerful desktop, streamed to every screen you already own.

๐Ÿ“ฑ Platform: Mac + iPhone, iPad, Vision Pro (iOS 26 and later)

๐Ÿ’ฐ Price: Free for local streaming ยท Mirage Pro (subscription or lifetime) for remote access and top quality

๐Ÿ” Alternative to: Sidecar, Luna Display, Jump Desktop

That's it for today. See you Wednesday with a deep dive โ€” turning your Mac into a machine that files, sorts, and switches modes for you, automatically.

Keep it useful,
